For dental practices
Common questions about Tekel
How matching works, what patients see, and what your practice can expect.
How does Tekel match a patient with dentists?
Patients describe the dental problem in their own words. Tekel infers the likely type of care needed and compares that need with the specialty, services, and treatments listed in dentist profiles. It then surfaces dentists whose profiles are a strong fit.
Why might another dentist in my specialty rank ahead of me?
Your specialty label is one part of profile-based clinical fit. Tekel also compares the services and treatments listed in each profile for the patient's specific concern. Among dentists with similar profile-based clinical fit, practical factors such as distance, reviews, and languages help order the results.
Does the nearest dentist always rank first?
No. Profile-based clinical fit comes first. When several dentists have similar fit, practical factors such as distance, reviews, and languages can help order the results.
What profile information matters?
Keep your specialty, services, treatments, location, languages, and other practice details accurate. More complete profile information helps Tekel understand which patient needs your practice may be suited to help.
How does pricing work?
Your first 14 days are free. After that, the practice pays $20 in a billing cycle if no attributable Tekel patient completes an attended visit. If one or more attributable Tekel patients complete an attended visit, the total is capped at $100 for that billing cycle.
What is an attended visit?
It is a visit that an attributable Tekel patient actually attends. A request, inquiry, or scheduled appointment by itself is not an attended visit.
Can I cancel during the free trial?
Yes. The first 14 days are free, and you can cancel anytime.
